"Do you think you're beautiful?" - just one of the many Barbara Walteresque questions Linda Evans was asked in this April 1983 pre-Academy Awards interview special.
Linda also gets to reflect on her relationship with John (the husband she lost to Bo Derek); her lack of ambition and willingness to give up work for love (which she ultimately did with 'Dynasty' in 1988); as well as aging (she had just turned 40 at the time this interview was taped).
I found Linda's comments about beauty and aging particularly interesting in the light of her appearance on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show' (which was devoted to that topic) earlier this week and of course the plastic surgeries she ended up having in her late 40s and 50s.
On the side note, this interview aired just three nights prior to that infamous season 3 episode of "Dynasty" in which Krystle and her nemesis Alexis battled it out in the lily pond. One critic called it "a new low for exploitative tastelessness" at the time.
